Best team of the Mozzart Bet SuperLiga season announced: Katai named Player of the Season

The awards ceremony for the “PRVI TIM” event was held in Belgrade, organized by the Association of Serbian SuperLiga Clubs and Mozzart, the general sponsor of the domestic championship. Awards were presented to the best individuals of the jubilee 20th season of Serbia’s top football division.

The Team of the Season was selected by the captains and coaches of all 16 clubs in the Mozzart Bet SuperLiga. The voting rule was clear — no one was allowed to vote for players from their own club, giving the selection additional objectivity and significance.

The most awards went to the champion team, Red Star Belgrade, which had as many as six representatives in the best team of the season. Among them were Seol Jung-woo, Nair Tiknizyan, Rade Krunić, Vasilije Kostov, Jay Enem and Aleksandar Katai.

Aleksandar Katai named Player of the Season

Aleksandar Katai of Red Star Belgrade was named the best player of the season in the Mozzart Bet SuperLiga. The experienced attacking player was one of the key figures for the Red and Whites throughout the campaign, and the award confirmed his major influence on the team’s play and results as Serbian champions.

At the end of the ceremony, Katai also received a special award as the all-time leading scorer in the history of Serbia’s top division.

In addition to the Player of the Season award, prizes were also presented for the best young player and best coach of the season. Vasilije Kostov of Red Star Belgrade was named the best young player, while Radomir Koković, head coach of Železničar, received the Coach of the Season award.

The Team of the Season includes six players from Red Star Belgrade, two from Železničar, and one representative each from Partizan, Vojvodina and OFK Belgrade.

Major recognition for Železničar

Železničar’s success also attracted special attention, with two of their players included in the Team of the Season — Mirko Milikić and Silvester Jasper. The Pančevo club was one of the most pleasant surprises of the season, while Radomir Koković’s Coach of the Season award further confirms the quality of the work being done at the club.

The 2025/26 season brought many interesting stories, and the selection of the best showed that Red Star Belgrade players left the strongest mark, along with standout individuals from clubs that marked the championship with excellent performances and steady progress.
