Dušan Miletić has signed for Hapoel Jerusalem after a strong season with Cluj. The Serbian centre agreed a one-year contract with an option for one additional season.

Saša Obradović will coach Miletić at the Israeli club. The move brings together two Serbian basketball figures before Hapoel's new domestic and European campaign.

A productive EuroCup season supported the transfer

Miletić played for Cluj during the previous campaign. The Romanian club reached the EuroCup quarter-finals and also won the national championship.

The centre averaged 12.6 points in EuroCup competition. He also collected 7.6 rebounds and supplied 2.3 assists per game.

His defensive record included more than one steal and one block per appearance. Those figures reflected activity beyond scoring near the basket.

Cluj used Miletić as a screen setter, rebounder and passing option. He often received the ball around the paint before finding cutters.

The EuroCup run gave Miletić recent experience against international opponents. He already knows the competition's travel and pace.

Miletić completed the Romanian season with both team success and stable individual production. The move follows those confirmed results.

A short period in Lebanon followed the Cluj season

Miletić later joined Al Riyadi for the Lebanese playoffs. The assignment gave him more competitive games after Cluj's schedule ended.

Short playoff contracts are common in regional basketball. Clubs add experienced players for the most demanding part of their domestic season.

The centre then became available for a longer agreement. Hapoel moved before preseason and confirmed the contract structure.

One guaranteed year gives both sides a complete season together. The option provides a route to continue if the partnership works well.

The agreement is not described as a multi-year guarantee. Its stated form is one season plus another at the club's option.

That detail keeps the transfer status precise. Miletić is signed, while the second season remains dependent on the option.

Obradović adds another former Partizan player

Miletić developed through the Serbian system and previously played for Partizan. His new team already contains other players with the same club connection.

Jaleen Smith and Shake Milton also joined Hapoel after periods with Partizan. All three players bring recent experience from major European competitions.

Obradović took charge with his own knowledge of Serbian and European basketball. Miletić now becomes part of the frontcourt available to him.

The centre's passing gives Hapoel an option beyond traditional post play. His rebounding also supports faster possessions after defensive stops.

Miletić has remained close to the Serbian national team

Miletić has appeared for Serbia during qualifying windows. Those selections placed him around the senior national group during the club season.

He has not yet played at a major senior tournament. His international experience instead comes from the shorter qualifying periods.

Those windows demand quick adaptation to different teammates and systems. The centre has handled that work while carrying regular club responsibilities.

Hapoel receives a player in his competitive prime with recent continental experience. Miletić also arrives after winning a domestic title.

Miletić will begin preseason under Obradović. The coach will then decide how to use him in Hapoel's frontcourt.

The contract follows a season with work at both ends

Miletić's EuroCup numbers describe more than scoring near the basket. He also created second possessions through rebounding and moved the ball from the centre position.

Cluj reached the competition's quarter-finals with Miletić in its rotation. The team also completed the season as Romanian champion.

His later spell with Al Riyadi was shorter and tied to the Lebanese playoffs. It did not replace the larger body of work produced with Cluj.

Hapoel offered one guaranteed season and retained an option for another. That structure keeps the confirmed term separate from the possible extension.

Obradović now has a Serbian centre who already understands European travel. Miletić has also played in several different domestic leagues.

The move reunites him with other former Partizan players at the club. Smith and Milton will also begin the new campaign in Jerusalem.

Miletić arrives after playing competitive games into the summer. His guaranteed contract covers the coming season, with a club option for another year.
